For Japan
Japan was devastated by an 8.9 earthquake, later by a Tsunami (a consequence of the earthquake) and now faces a nuclear disaster. I am amazed by the calm energy and discipline the japanese have shown, an incredible population.
My approach to this tribute piece, was a little different from most of my fellow designers and not focus on the earthquake itself, but show more of the tsunami, with the help of the great Hokusai and his woodblock print “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”
For haiti
Back in january 2010, I was asked to design a cd cover for a charity event to generate money to be sent to Haïti. This year I regenerated a poster, with a slightly different message.
